Safety and privacy

Updated October 26, 2026

Anonymous if you want, and in control of what you share. Here is what we do, and what you can do yourself.

Can I stay anonymous on RateMyFeet?

Yes: a username is all that shows, and no face or real name is needed. Your profile carries only what you choose to add to it.

A few habits go a long way: hide what could identify you with Hide a face when you post, watch for tattoos, jewelry and recognizable backgrounds, and keep your links to the accounts you are happy to connect. How to post feet pics anonymously has the full checklist.

How is content moderated?

Posts are moderated, and what breaks the rules comes down. The rules cover everything public, backroom covers included.

What is not allowed?

On the public side: anything that is not about feet, a face, someone who is not you, anyone under 18, pictures you do not own, spam and duplicates.

In a backroom: minors, anything non-consensual, and anything illegal where the creator or her subscribers live. In messages: links to other sites and outside contact details. The Terms hold the full rules.

How do I report a post or a profile?

For a post, open it full screen, tap ⋮, then Report post and confirm; no reason needed, even as a guest, once per post. For a profile, tap ⋮ on the profile, then Report.

Subscribers can report a backroom piece in one tap, and a conversation is reported when you block its author from it.

How do I block someone?

Choose Block from their profile's ⋮ menu or from a conversation: neither of you sees the other any more, and they are not told. Messages explains everything a block changes.

Can RateMyFeet share my posts on social media?

RateMyFeet shares your posts on its social accounts only if you say yes. Feature my posts, in Edit profile under Privacy, is off until you turn it on, and covers the RateMyFeet accounts on Instagram and X.

How is my data handled?

The Privacy Policy says what we keep and why. For any request about your personal data, write to privacy@ratemyfeet.io.
