You can talk to her in private. A few rules keep it pleasant on both sides, and blocking someone takes a tap.
How do I send a private message to a creator?
Open her profile and tap Message, next to Follow. Messages are free, and anyone with an account can write to anyone else, unless that person has turned messages off.
Your first message arrives as a request: she reads it and decides whether to answer.
How do message requests work?
Until she accepts, you can send one message, and you will not know whether she read it. She can accept it, delete it or block you; answering you also accepts.
If she deletes it, nothing tells you, and anything you send her later stays waiting on your side. You can cancel a request you sent: within 10 minutes of sending it, you can write to her again at once (once a day, not on every try); after that, wait 24 hours. You can start up to 15 new conversations in 24 hours.
What can I send in a message?
A message is text, up to 1,000 characters. You can react with an emoji (a double-tap leaves a heart), reply to a message to quote it, copy it, and edit it within 10 minutes, with an Edited mark.
A message cannot be unsent or deleted once it is sent, so give it a second read.
Why was my message not sent?
Messages cannot carry links to other sites, email addresses, phone numbers, bank or card numbers, or the names of other platforms and messaging apps. A message holding one is neither sent nor kept, and you see why.
Links to RateMyFeet are fine. The rule is the same for everyone, both ways: what happens here stays here.
Will they know I read their message?
Once you have both accepted the conversation, Seen shows under your last message when they have read it. Opening a request never tells the person who sent it.
How do I delete a conversation?
Open the conversation menu and choose Delete conversation. It disappears for you only: if they write again, it comes back as a request.
How do I block someone?
Choose Block from their profile (the ⋮ menu), from the conversation, or straight from the request. While signed in, neither of you sees the other anywhere on the site any more: profile, cover, backroom, and posts in the feed and the leaderboard. Follows are removed both ways, the conversation disappears for both of you, neither of you can vote on the other's posts (votes already given still count), and they are not told. Pages open to visitors who are not signed in still show everyone.
A block also ends any backroom month running between you two, whoever blocks, with no refund; the dialog shows how many days are lost. Only you can unblock, from Edit profile, then Privacy, then Blocked accounts. Unblocking brings nothing back.
How do I report a conversation?
When you block someone from a conversation, tick Also report this conversation. A copy of the latest messages is kept with your report.
Can I turn messages off?
Yes: Edit profile, then Privacy, then Receive messages. Off, the Message button leaves your profile and nobody can start a conversation with you.
Requests waiting on either side expire at that moment, and they do not come back when you turn messages on again.
Will I get emails about my messages?
Message emails come in three kinds, and none of them quotes a message. One when a request you sent is accepted, one when messages wait unread for 3 hours (once a day at most), and one when requests are waiting for you (once a week at most).
The unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails stops them.
