How to Sell Custom Content on RateMyFeet

Published by The RMF TeamUpdated October 30, 2026

Fans have always asked creators for something made just for them, and until now the answer meant sending them somewhere else. On RateMyFeet you sell it here: your offers sit on your cover and in your backroom, the fan writes what he wants, you create it, and he pays you directly. Founders keep every cent. This guide walks the creator's side.

  1. Set up your offers

In your Studio Pro, under My cover, start from one of three ready-made offers or a blank one, and save up to three.

  2. Get an order

A fan orders one of your offers and says what he wants. You get an email, and his order lands under To create in your Requests.

  3. Create and deliver

Open the order, add exactly the files of the pack and a word for him if you like, then deliver within your delay.

  4. Get paid

He has seven days to pay you on your own links. Look at your account, then confirm his payment, or say you received nothing.

  5. It opens for him

Your confirmation opens the delivery for him, for good. You see what your offers earn in your Figures.

Your offers

An offer is a pack you commit to: a title, one line on what it holds, an exact number of photos and videos (up to five photos and two videos), a price and a delay to deliver.

  • The price goes from 4.99 to 199.99, in the currency of your backroom. RateMyFeet converts nothing.
  • The delay is one, two, three, five or seven days from the order. Pick the one you can keep.
  • Videos can run up to two minutes and one gigabyte each, longer than in your backroom.

The first time you open the section, three ready-made offers are waiting: open one, adjust it, save it. After your first one, Add an offer lets you start again from any of the three, or from a blank one. You can have three at most, listed from the cheapest, and edit or remove them whenever you like: an order already made keeps the offer exactly as the fan saw it.

Orders, and the conversation

A fan can order without subscribing to your backroom, from your cover, from inside your backroom, or from a card you sent him. Each order arrives three ways: an email, a card in your conversation with him, and a line under To create in your Requests, with his request and your deadline.

The conversation is where you ask him what you need to know before you start. You can also propose one of your offers there yourself, as a card he can order from; you can do that in a conversation you have accepted.

You can refuse an order without giving a reason, and it costs him nothing. If the person is the problem rather than the request, block him: everything unpaid between you expires, and a payment he already declared goes to RateMyFeet to decide.

You get a reminder the day before your deadline. If you do not deliver in time, the order closes on its own.

Deliver

Create and deliver opens a screen with exactly the slots of the pack, so you cannot deliver less or more than you promised. Each file starts sending as soon as you pick it, while you pick the next.

  • Every file that arrives is saved on the order, so you can close the app and come back without sending it again.
  • A video picks up where it stopped after a network cut or a reload. Wi-Fi is still a good idea for a long one.
  • Duration, size and format are checked before anything is sent, so you are never refused after ten minutes of waiting.

You can deliver as soon as every file has arrived, without waiting for the encoding. If a video fails to encode afterwards, you get an email and the screen reopens for that one file only.

Add a word for him if you like. He reads it before he pays, with what the delivery holds, but never the files themselves.

Get paid

It works exactly like a month of your backroom. He pays you directly, on your own payment links, writing the reference of his order on the transfer, and tells you he paid. Look at your account, then confirm, or say you received nothing and he gets a fresh deadline. A payment that goes a week without your answer is decided by RateMyFeet. The details are in Direct payment, explained.

Your confirmation opens the delivery for him, for good. Your Figures show a Custom content line, this month and since your first offer.

If he does not pay

You create before he pays, and the rules carry that cost:

  1. Delivered

He has seven days to pay you

  2. Day 7

The order closes, and he gets a warning

  3. 30 days later

    The unpaid files are deleted

A delivered order, when nobody pays.

A fan who leaves a delivered order unpaid twice within ninety days at your place cannot order from you for thirty days. Your work stays yours: nobody sees an unpaid delivery, and it is deleted after thirty days.

RateMyFeet does not judge whether what you made matches what he asked for. You answer for what you create, under the same content rules as your backroom.

The rules are in the terms, section 17. The fan's side of the same path is in How to order custom content, and opening your backroom in How to open your backroom.
